Campers in Corpus Christi Get a Visit From the Coast Guard and Learn About Water Safety

In Texas, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children age nine and younger. Thanks to the Boys & Girls Club of Coastal Bend, the ZAC Foundation was able to teach children in Corpus Christi important lessons in water safety for the third year in a row. With the generous help of Corpus Christi mayor Joe McComb, the U.S. Coast Guard, and other local first responders, 100 ZAC Campers learned how to be comfortable and safer in the water, and how to respond in case of an emergency. A special thanks to KIII 3 NewsKRIS-TV, and Caller Times for their coverage of this ZAC Camp.
